Walker Gossan Project

 – Australia –

GPM Metals has made significant advancements in its Walker River Project, strategically located in a highly prospective area along the northwest trend that hosts world-class deposits like the McArthur River and Century Zinc deposits. This project reflects GPM’s commitment to targeting large-scale, high-value base metal deposits.

Highlights of the Walker River Project

1. A Unique Geological Opportunity

The project benefits from an unusual size distribution of deposits in the region, where mega-deposits are often accompanied by smaller satellite deposits. This upper-quartile target strategy aims to unlock substantial in-ground value.

2. Advanced Data Collection

In late 2023, GPM conducted an airborne gravity survey across the project area, using 250-meter spaced E/W flight lines. The survey yielded high-quality data that aligns well with existing ground gravity profiles. This critical exploration step delineated six discrete gravity anomalies, pointing to potential subsurface mineralization.

3. Strategic Asset Transfers

On June 19, 2024, GPM Metals, through its subsidiary DPG Resources Australia Pty Ltd, entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Rio Tinto, replacing their previous farm-in arrangement. Under this new agreement:

  • Exploration licenses and applications covering highly prospective areas in the Proterozoic McArthur Basin were transferred to DPG.
  • Rio Tinto retains contingent payment rights based on future zinc and lead values tied to milestones like resource definition or mining decisions.

This collaboration reflects the high potential of the Walker River Project and reinforces the project’s credibility in the industry.

Why the Walker River Project Matters

World-Class District

The project’s location near the McArthur River and Century deposits places it in one of the world’s most prolific zinc and lead mining districts. This proximity enhances the project’s geological potential and underscores its importance for future discoveries.

Data-Driven Exploration

The airborne survey highlights GPM Metals’ commitment to leveraging advanced geophysical techniques. The delineated gravity anomalies provide a clear path forward for targeted exploration, reducing risk while enhancing the potential for meaningful discoveries.

Significant Partnering

The new agreement with Rio Tinto ensures GPM Metals gains critical assets while benefiting from Rio Tinto’s industry expertise. This partnership exemplifies a shared vision of realizing the full potential of the Walker River Project.

Looking Ahead

With its strategic location, robust exploration data, and support from a globally recognized partner, the Walker River Project is positioned as a cornerstone in GPM Metals’ portfolio. As the company progresses towards defining resources and moving towards mining decisions, the project promises to play a pivotal role in meeting the global demand for base metals like zinc and lead.

GPM Metals continues to demonstrate its ability to identify, acquire, and develop high-potential assets, solidifying its place in the base metals exploration sector.
